His theatre credits include: The Constant Wife (Peggy Ashcroft Theatre), The Double Dealer (Liverpool Repertory Theatre), The Time of the Cuckoo (Liverpool Playhouse), Canterbury Tales (Phoenix Theatre), Aerial Football (Mermaid Theatre), The Black Girl in Search of God (Mermaid Theatre), The Doctor's Dilemma (Royal Exchange Theatre), What the Butler Saw (Royal Exchange Theatre), Hamlet (English Touring Theatre) etc.

His television credits include: Adam Adamant Lives!, Z Cars (1962), Maelstrom, Thriller, Spy Trap, The New Avengers, Jack the Ripper, The Barchester Chronicles, Doctors and the Doctor Who as Professor George Litefoot.

His film credits include: Nutcracker (1983), Parting Shots (1999), Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (2004) and Van Wilder: The Rise of Taj (2006).
