Hayden Griffin

Hayden Griffin’s British theatre career spans 30 years and includes 36 world première productions with writers and directors such as David Hare (including Plenty, A Map of the World and Pravda), David Mamet (Glengarry Glen Ross), Edward Bond (including Summer), Howard Brenton, William Gaskill and Bill Bryden for RNT, RSC, Royal Court and many West End theatres. Hayden has designed opera and ballet for major world centres including the Royal Opera House, ENO and Birmingham Royal Ballet, collaborating with David Bintley (including Still Life at the Penguin Café), Guillini and Bernard Haitink (Parsifal). He has worked extensively around the world including New York, Los Angeles, Australia, Yugoslavia, Canada, Germany, Holland and Italy.

Hayden’s feature film design credits include Wetherby, written and directed by David Hare, and Intimacy, directed by Patrice Chereau (both films won the Golden Bear Award for Best Film in Berlin).
