Robert trained at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts.

Theatre credits include: Mortimer Junior in Edward II (Rose Theatre); Terms of Endearment (York Theatre Royal); The Wings of the Dove (Tour); Dangerous Corner (Windsor); Ten Times Table (Windsor); Marrying the Mistress (UK Tour); Intimate Exchanges; Stage Struck; Absurd Person Singular; Deadly Nightcap; One for the Pot; Over the Moon (Old Vic); Wait in the Dark (Garrick).

Film and Television credits include: Doctors, Family Business, Lords Don’t Lie, There’s No ‘I’ in Team, Day of the Flowers, Without Words, The Virus, The Queen’s Sister, Shaun of the Dead, Hit List, London’s Burning and Citizen vs Kane (Winner of the Prix Canal Plus, Clemont Farrand International Short Film Festival 2009).

Narrations include: Secrets of Stalingrad, The Last Voyage of the Empress, Animal Armageddon, Ultimate Battles and Quest for Sunken Warships. On radio he read Time to Move and Voiced Mr Lewis in Telling It the Way It Is, both for BBC. Robert has recorded numerous educational tapes. In addition he has toured with the band Zed as bass and harmonica player and been a session bass player with various solo performers including Dyan Cannon.
