English Touring Theatre | News http://www.ett.org.uk/ English Touring Theatre was set up in 1993 with the aim of bringing the best possible theatre to as many people throughout the country. At the heart of everything we do is the passionately held belief that quality theatre does not have to be elitist, and that people everywhere expect and deserve the best. This is why in addition to the work on stage we also provide a first class education programme to accompany our tours. We are committed to making our work as accessible as possible, and have extended the Friends of English Touring Theatre membership options to celebrate the support we receive from our audience. en-gb The RTST Director Award 2017 is open for entries! http://www.ett.org.uk/news/the-rtst-director-award-2017-is-open-for-entries http://www.ett.org.uk/news/the-rtst-director-award-2017-is-open-for-entries Wed, 08 Mar 17 00:00:00 +0000 ETT has joined with The Royal Theatrical Support Trust, Nuffield Southampton Theatres and Theatr Clwyd to establish the first 2017 RTST Director Award Scheme, which is now open for entries.

With the appointment of Richard Twyman the company has an Artistic Director of exceptional talent and capacity, whose work in the theatre has become a hallmark of innovation and internationalism. FULL TOUR DATES: French Without Tears and Lady Chatterley's Lover announcement http://www.ett.org.uk/news/full-tour-dates-french-without-tears-and-lady-chatterleys-lover-announcement http://www.ett.org.uk/news/full-tour-dates-french-without-tears-and-lady-chatterleys-lover-announcement Wed, 08 Jun 16 00:00:00 +0000 Tour dates for autumn co-productions French Without Tears and Lady Chatterley’s Lover announced!

Rachel Tackley said today: "It is great to be able to announce the final two shows before I leave ETT. Although I am secretly planning a few more so that I don't leave the cupboard bare for my successor, these are the last ones I am actually going to see into production. It seems fitting that we are remounting French Without Tears with Paul Miller, who originally directed it for ETT not long after I joined the company, and apposite too that Lady Chatterley is a co-production with Sheffield - Daniel and I are both huge fans of Philip Breen so how could we resist squeezing in one last co-production before we leave?"
