English Touring Theatre is England’s leading touring theatre company.

ETT exists to create outstanding theatre and tour it to the widest possible audience.

ETT's aim is to surprise and delight as well as enrich and engage. It does this by bringing outstanding theatre to as diverse an audience as possible.

As one of England's foremost theatre companies, ETT creates theatre of outstanding quality, imagination and ambition that is both emotionally and intellectually engaging. The company works with the country's leading directors and practitioners to produce artistically ambitious theatre that is vigorous, popular and challenging, as well as confident and forward-looking.

The company primarily produces work for larger theatres, driven by the belief that experiencing plays simultaneously with large numbers of other people is a particularly powerful cultural experience for audiences.  At the heart of everything ETT does is the passionately held belief that people everywhere in this country expect and deserve the best.

ETT is the only touring company subsidised to produce work for larger theatres in England.
