    By Georges Feydeau
    Adapted by Nicky Frei
    Directed by Peter Hall

    4 February to 14 February 2009

    Touring details below

Peter Hall will direct Nicki Frei’s new translation of George Feydeau’s comic masterpiece Where There’s A Will for ETT.  The production marks the second collaboration between Director Peter Hall and ETT following their celebrated production of Uncle Vanya last year.  Where There’s A Will opens at the Rose Theatre Kingston before embarking on a seven-date UK tour.

Angele is the wealthy widow of a philanderer and she’s learned from her first husband that no man can be trusted.  Married for the second time, she vows to keep her new husband on a tight leash.  But just as she has him where she wants him, things are complicated by the arrival of her husband’s close friend who is determined to pursue her for himself.

Peter Hal is one of Britain’s most distinguished director of plays, films and operas.  His career includes being the founder of the Royal Shakespeare Company and Director of the Royal National Theatre.  His many arts awards and nominations include two Tony Awards and an Olivier for Lifetime Achievement.

The cast is Charles Edwards, Tony Gardner, Nelly Harker, Teddy Kempner, Sara Stewart and Jason Thorpe.

Under the directorship of Rachel Tackley, ETT presents potent, vivid and vital productions of new and classic plays.  A powerhouse of touring theatre, ETT works with a rich and varied mix of the country’s leading directors, actors and artists to stage thrilling and ambitious theatre that is vigorous, popular and above all entertaining.
